After several years in the fast-paced corporate world and over a decade in the classroom teaching gifted, bilingual and general ed across several ages and grade levels from Kinder to college, Ben co-founded NuMinds Enrichment to develop unique mixed-age learning programs and camps for students, PD for teachers, and workshops and courses for parents.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Gifted Education from Southern Methodist University and a B.A. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from Iowa State University. He’s driven by his passion for exploring human potential, happiness and achievement, and especially how to coach or guide others to unleash their most authentic, realized selves.
Curiosity about the human experience has been the fuel for his own hobbies, including travel. Argentina, Holland, the UK, India, China, Mexico, Belize, Honduras, and two trips to Tibet. Another passion is writing, and publications include articles in Highlights for Children, Transitions Abroad, and Intercom, as well as a book of poetry and role as managing editor for Falling Off the Roof of the World, the autobiography of a Tibetan Lama who escaped the Chinese invasion of Tibet. Running, research in human potential, meditation, and yoga round out his other passions.
